Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge
Composed of open water and intertidal salt marshes, the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge is one of NYC's best spots to observe migrating species. Over the last 25 years, 332 bird species have been sighted at the refuge which is nearly half the species in the Northeast.
